Reglis – Soluções Informáticas Globais is a Portuguese company with over 18 years of experience in the area of information management systems. They have several products and services, such as Network and Security Maintenance, Systems Implementation, Custom Software Development, and Customer Support.
Infoprotese is a management software for dental prosthetic laboratories. It controls production by phases, including protocols, employees, and schedules. In the future, it will also issue invoices, purchases, and transport guides via third parties.
It has a direct connection to a platform of electronic dental prescriptions (labprot.com), where it imports the prescription and prepares the work for its execution.
“Laboratories didn’t have many management solutions available, so we created our system with the know-how of everyone involved in the process,” said Eduardo Coutinho, IT Manager at Reglis.
The idea to develop this project came from the need to rebuild the Infoprotese V1 application, developed in 2000. Reglis is involved with clients in the dental field (Grupo Montellano, Clínicas Santa Madalena, Hitec), so great growth potential was seen in this area.
According to Eduardo, Reglis have been following Sysdev’s products since about the year 2015. They chose Kalipso for the following main reasons:
– It is a tool suited for rapid application development and that has constant updates;
– Easy and fast to mirror logical thinking into Kalipso syntax using its unique build method;
– Quick connection to extensions, which makes Kalipso very extensible;
– A support line that is always available to help answer questions and solve problems that may arise mid-project development.
“Kalipso can be a valuable discovery in the career of an information technology manager. Since there are many core features, Infoprotese uses only about 50% of the features available in Kalipso“, says Eduardo Coutinho, IT Manager.
It uses Multilingual, SQL Advanced, in terms of customization such as “Set/Get property”, Creates/exports/imports/deletes files, executes external queries to sites via HTTP Requests, prints labels and A4 reports, it handles the automatic sending of emails and also it was possible to recreate a POS environment (Composition Module) with Loopers.
For Eduardo Coutinho, IT Manager at Reglis, the framework is fantastic and very promising. It gave him the freedom to explore the world of development without fear of making mistakes or even getting lost in an ocean of complicated information.
“Kalipso is a five-star software. It encouraged me to design new solutions with multiple approaches from several different perspectives. It is like an ultra-fun mind game, only for developing applications.
